Justice Star Award Society is a non-profit organization in Canada which grants 10,000.00 Canadian dollars annually to an individual or organization that has pursued justice for the public interest in global communities. We are dedicated to enhancing justice in people’s lives and in the world.

.

Mission & Vision:

•   To improve the justice system

•   To enhance and promote access to justice

•   To protect the public interest and social justice

.

Story:

In over a decade of water leakage legal battle, I have discovered that licensed professionals are taking advantage of the loopholes in Canadian Land Title e-Filing System to commit real estate fraud and estate fraud. I have appealed to all Government authorities to remedy the loopholes in the system, but to this day without any success. My bitter experience in fighting against fraudsters and law-breaking attorneys encourages me to establish a Justice Star Award Society to acknowledge those who have made outstanding contributions to protecting the public interest and social justice.

Award Recipients:

Congratulations to Professor Dennis Weng Jeng Peng for

winning the 2022 Justice Star Award

The committee received many nominations, and after careful review, we are pleased to announce to award Professor Dennis Weng Jeng Peng the first Justice Star Award with a monetary award of $10,000 Canadian dollars.

Professor Peng has been nominated by many people, including former faculty members of the famous Stanford University in the United States and overseas Chinese organizations. The committee scrutinized Professor Peng’s fearless performance in defending Taiwan’s freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and judicial justice, and in monitoring and challenging the totalitarian government. Professor Peng is comparable to the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize winners, two renowned media reporters, Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov. The committee also contacted the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Professor Peng earned his Ph.D., and received a response from the Chancellor’s Office: “The University of Wisconsin-Madison is proud to encourage all students and alumni to sift and winnow for the truth, both in academic pursuits and in society at large. Thank you for your message highlighting the focus of your work in support of alumnus Dr. Dennis Weng Jeng Peng.”

Congratulations to Mr. David Cheng for

winning the 2023 Justice Star Award

The committee of the Justice Star Award, after meticulous consideration of numerous nominations, takes immense pride in bestowing this esteemed honor upon Mr. David Chen, the owner of Lucky Moose Food Market in Toronto downtown. His remarkable courage, strength, and tenacity serve as a shining example of resilience and advocacy for citizens’ rights in the face of adversity.

In 2009, Mr. Chen found himself embroiled in a defining moment when he pursued and apprehended a serial shoplifter, an act that led to his being arrested and subsequent charges. Throughout the trial, Mr. Chen’s unwavering dedication to the pursuit of justice proved to be an inspiration to the nation, sparking a call for change and ultimately leading to the creation of the pivotal piece of legislation known as Bill C-26, affectionately dubbed the “Lucky Moose Bill.” This landmark law marks a significant stride forward in ensuring citizens’ rights to protect their property and defend their communities.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the protection of citizens’ rights and his unwavering commitment to the betterment of our society, we take great honor in presenting him with the esteemed “Justice Star Award.”

May his legacy continue to inspire generations to come, reminding us all that the pursuit of justice is a responsibility shared by every member of our community.

For the year 2024 of Justice Star Award

After a thorough review and consideration of the nominations received, the committee of the Justice Star Award has determined that the number of qualified nominations does not meet the criteria necessary to proceed with the award this year. The Justice Star Award is to honor exceptional individuals or organizations who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to justice and equality in global communities. The recipient of this award must embody the highest standards of excellence and dedication.

While it is disappointing to announce that the Justice Star Award will not be presented this year, we believe this decision upholds the integrity and prestige of the award. We remain committed to recognizing and celebrating those who make significant impacts in pursuing justice.

We encourage everyone to continue their efforts to promote justice and look forward to your participation in next year’s nomination process. We are confident that we will have many deserving candidates to choose from.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
